The Experience

What the Journey Looks Like.

Each destination creates a different itinerary. The experience unfolds through exploration, local culture, shared activities, adventure and time to reflect together.

Diverse young people exploring a modern international city

Young people enjoying local street food during an international experience
Food + Local Life Taste the place. Food, conversation and everyday experiences make culture personal.
Diverse young adults enjoying an outdoor summer experience together
Adventure + Fun Experience it together. Outdoor activities, excursions and shared moments are part of the journey too.

Sample Itinerary

What Could a Global Scholars Week Look Like?

Every destination creates its own experience. A typical programme may combine exploration, culture, service, adventure, shared responsibility and reflection.

01 Arrival + Orientation Arrival, check-in, introductions, orientation and destination briefing.
02 Explore the Destination Discover landmarks, neighbourhoods, attractions and local environments.
03 Culture + Local Life Experience food, history, traditions, people and cultural exchange.
04 Service + Community Participate in an appropriate community, social or environmental service activity.
05 Adventure + Exploration Take part in excursions, attractions, outdoor activities or destination experiences.
06 Leadership + Reflection Shared responsibility, group challenges, discussion and reflection.
07 Connect + Depart Final activities, reflection, celebration and departure.
Every Global Scholars itinerary is destination-specific. Activities, schedules and inclusions vary by programme.

The details change with every country and every camp. What participants take part in should feel connected to the destination itself — not like a programme that could have happened anywhere.
