How a school partnership can work

A school may refer individual students, nominate participants or discuss a group experience. The final structure depends on the selected destination, group size, timing, programme requirements and available capacity.

For Camp Counselors

Travel. Gain experience. Help create the experience for someone else.

Camp Counselors are programme participants too. They travel with the programme, support organised experiences and build practical leadership and international experience.

Travel + Experience Take part in an international programme while gaining practical experience working with participants and organised activities.

Leadership in Practice Build communication, organisation, teamwork and participant-support skills in a real programme setting.

Two Participation Routes Standard and volunteer counselor routes may be available depending on the programme and destination.

Standard Route Paid Camp Counselor Programme

Standard counselors pay the applicable Camp Counselor programme fee, application and preparation fees, plus relevant travel or personal costs. Income may be available during some placements where applicable.

Volunteer Route Volunteer Camp Counselor

The programme fee may be waived for approved volunteer counselors. Application and preparation fees still apply, and volunteers are normally responsible for their own travel, living and personal expenses unless specifically included.

Can the itinerary change?

When should travel be booked?
