Equivalence Clarity

OTHM Level 7 diplomas on the Regulated Qualifications Framework are at the same academic level as Master’s degrees. However, the diploma is shorter: AIMu’s postgraduate diploma is 120 credits, while a full Master’s degree is normally 180 credits. Learners who enter a university top-up route with the 120-credit postgraduate diploma usually complete the remaining 60-credit dissertation, thesis or final project stage to achieve the full Master’s award, subject to university admissions.
