PROGRAM LEVELS, ENTRY REQUIREMENTS, COURSES, ASSESSMENT METHODS, TUITION FINANCING, AND STUDY ABROAD OPTION FOR THE DEGREE TOP-UP
Orlando is a magical place and it’s not just because it’s home to Cinderella’s castle at Walt Disney World. The city was built on theme park fame, but the number and variety of Orlando attractions have grown to include world-famous restaurants, high-end outlet shopping centers, theatrical performances, and amazing concert and sporting event venues. There’s an incredible mix of fun things to do in Orlando that make it an ideal destination for not only families, but college students, foodies, outdoor adventurous types, shoppers and international visitors.
Miami is a beautiful and exciting destination offering a mix of world-renowned universities, hotels, malls, restaurants, spectacular beaches, adventure tourism, museums, and nightlife. You'll find that nature surrounds you in Miami. You can hop on a boat for partying or sightseeing and see its dunes, mangroves, and sea beds. You can also go kayaking, canoeing, and skydiving. If you wish to immerse yourself in the cultural side of Miami, you can spend an afternoon at The Bass or the Perez Art Museum Miami, or explore its local Art Deco architecture in South Beach's art Deco District. You can also stroll through Miami Fashion District, and the stores at Aventura Mall, Brickell City Center, Dadeland Mall or Bal Harbbour Shops.
- Program Levels | Level 4 and level 5 diploma qualifications are equivalent to Year 1 and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor's degree. Each level consists of 120 credits. Completing level 5 will enable our learners to progress directly to final year of university to top-up the bachelor's degree in little as eight months. The top-up degree provides study abroad opportunities in Canada, USA and UK where international students may work 20 hours during classes and 40 hours while on break. Learners in Canada and the UK may also work up to three years after graduating. Learners who choose distance learning can still attend their graduation ceremony at top universities in London or abroad.
Entry Requirements | The regular admission requirement for AimU Undergrad is SAT, OR GED, OR Four (4) CXC/GCE Subjects inclusive of English Language. Students who do not meet the entry requirements can prepare in three months for the US High School Diploma (GED). Test results are ready 24 hours after the online exams. GED is accepted for college admission and employment in all 50 US States and Canada.
Exemptions And Advanced Placements | Full exemptions will be granted to Applicants with Associate Degrees, Level 4 UK qualifications, or higher education diplomas in comparable subject areas. Applicants may attain full exemption from a level, if sufficient evidence is produced to satisfy the assessment criteria. Course exemptions are available for applicants who attended college and attained passes in related subject areas and to applicants employed in the same/related areas.
